About the Opportunity

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Student Account Operations, the Student Account Administrator - Operations provides the highest level of customer service (via in person, phone and virtual communications) and answers student and parent inquiries regarding student financial matters. The Student Account Administrator - Operations ensures the highest level of compliance with federal, state and institutional policies while maintaining student account records with accuracy. The Student Account Administrator - Operations serves as the primary contact for third party vendors (i.e., external collection agencies and attorneys) and is responsible for overseeing the $20+ million in universities student tuition accounts placed with collections. The Student Account Administrator - Operations is responsible for $75+ million in annual payments via third party vendors (i.e., external collection agencies and attorneys), facilitating billing and, collection activities for delinquent accounts. In addition, the Student Account Administrator - Operations will have the standard responsibilities as relates to normal Student Accounts business. This includes counseling all current and prospective students and families regarding financing options and financial policies, while ensuring the highest level of compliance with federal, state and institutional policies. The Student Account Administrator - Operations will also process payments, complete financial forms and documents, perform student account maintenance and may process student refund requests.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required. Three plus years of related progressive experience in student accounts or a financial environment required. Also requires highest degree of attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent customer service experience. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with Banner and Powerfaids preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with a student and parent population.
