Reporting to and collaborating with the Assistant Director, Controller and Financial Operations Center, manages System debt and tax operations.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required3 or more years professional experience in a field related to finance or accountingSpecialized knowledge of treasury activities including debt-servicing activities and tax activities within a large tax-exempt organizationWorking knowledge of general accounting principles and financial analysisAbility to work with external outsourced support providers to accomplish debt and tax related requirements and goals for the organizationAbility to interact with standard technology platforms (e.g., word processing, data entry, email, internet browsing, etc.)Understanding of and proficiency in navigating computerized financial systemsAbility to interpret and work with financial data, perform advanced calculations and statistical analyses, and draw conclusionsAbility to read and understand financial statements, written financial policies and regulations, and other relevant documentationExcellent mathematical, organizational, and analytical skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to communication clearly, concisely, and accurately, both verbal and in writingDesire to work in a collaborative environment with System and institutional leaders, as well as colleagues in other financial affairs departmentsOpenness to 360-degree feedback and desire to learn and grow continuously
